==back== ======= ABOUT My name's Chris. Winston Echo is the name I use when I play the songs I write and the songs I like. My songs are sometimes funny but this isn't a comedy. I watch too much TV and buy too many records. I don't have lots of friends but the ones I do have I like a lot. I spend a lot more time failing to write songs than succeding. I like to play gigs so if you want me to come and play for you then email me. winstonecho@yahoo.co.uk However, I've been really lucky with the gigs I've played. I've played with loads of people that I love. So please don't ask me to play a gig with some really bad band with no ideas. Please. There're some things that other people have said here And some bits I've written about recording here ![]() This is me playing in the Here shop in Bristol at BringYrSelf Fest in September 2004. If you go to Bristol go this shop, it's lovely. They have loads of weird stuff. Like that purple thing and something that looks like a baby on a shelf. ![]() And this me play at The Bobby McGees open mic night in Brighton. The lovely girls from The Pipettes sang a couple of songs as well and that charming looking man in the specs is none other than Mr. Darren Hayman from the rock band Hefner. Not a particularly charming picture but I do recommend the Greek salad. And I'm wearing my home-made kazoo strap round my neck. ![]() This is another picture from Brighton. It's all blurry and bright and was taken I think in the cellar of the sanctuary cafe. ![]() Here I am at the Port Mahon in Oxford. Mr. Pete Hefferan from the band Pete & The Pirates is playing the drums. This was a good show although there weren't many people there. But The Pirates and Wet Dog and The Rebel were there and they were brill. ======= ==back== ======= |
